AAC Autism Accreditation is an internationally recognized quality standard Accreditation Program and is the only autism-specific quality assurance program of support and development for all those providing services to autistic people. Achieving accreditation proves that an organization is committed to understanding autism and setting the standard for autism practice. It is a way for organizations to show they offer excellent support to autistic children and adults.
If you are considering certifying your organization, do not hesitate to contact us. Below we show you the steps to follow:
STAGE 1
REQUEST FOR CERTIFICATION PROPOSAL TO AAC
The client must provide us with basic data about the organization and its activity; essential information to send you a personalized and tailored proposal.
STAGE 2
ACCEPTANCE OF THE PROPOSAL
Once the client has reviewed and agrees with the proposal that AAC has presented to them, they must send it to us. At this moment the certification process begins.
STAGE 3
WELCOME TO AAC
After receiving the proposal, from AAC we send the client a welcome communication with the double objective of welcome/reception and to mark the steps to follow from that precise moment.
STAGE 4
Pre-Audit Self-Assessment: Conduct an internal self-assessment or pre-audit to identify any potential gaps or areas of non-compliance with the accreditation standards.
STAGE 5
ASSIGNMENT OF THE AUDITING TEAM AND AUDIT PLANNING
From AAC we put the client in communication with the Auditor Responsible for the File. They will jointly plan the audit dates according to the convenience of both parties.
STAGE 6
AUDIT
After planning the audit, once the dates arrive, it is executed, starting with an Opening Meeting, preceded by the execution of the audit itself, and ending with the Closing Meeting.
STAGE 7
CORRECTIVE ACTION PLAN
Once the audit has been carried out, if there are non-conformities, the client has time to resolve the same and send the Corrective Action Plan to the Auditor Responsible for the File. In complex situations, extraordinary visits could be planned.
STAGE 8
GRANTING OF CERTIFICATION
If the client responds appropriately to the Corrective Action Plan, the file receives a triple review; In the first instance it is examined by the Auditor Responsible for the File, if everything goes well, a second review takes place by the Audit Committee; and finally, it is the Certification Committee, who has the authority to issue the certificate.
STAGE 9
ANNUAL MONITORING AND RENEWAL
Follow-up audits are carried out annually, with the aim of confirming the adequate maintenance of the System. The certification cycle lasts three years, so every three years, a Renewal/Recertification audit is curried out
